Mulberry appear to have defied the recession with a 22% increase in profits in the year to March 2010. Mulberry's chairman has said the company are looking to expand in the Asian market as demand grows and grows.

In a bid to woo the FIFA World Cup football selectors for the 2018 world cup bid, the English Football Association hand out twenty four designer Mulberry bags for the wives of the FIFA selectors in response to criticism from the FIFA chief that other countries such as Australia and Qatar had already given out plastic goodie bags.
